Legend Biotech is seeking a Scientist/Sr. Scientist, Bioinformatics Data for the Early Drug Development team in Somerset, NJ. You will bridge biological data with therapeutic insights by designing scalable computational pipelines and applying ML to multiomics data.

The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for biology, strong computational skills, and experience with R/Python, AI in data science, and cloud/container technologies. This role offers base pay and comprehensive benefits in the US.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Genomics, Biology, or a quantitative field.
• NGS data analysis experience required.
• Proficiency in R and Python; cloud and container experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale genomic datasets (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, WES/WGS, multi-omics) to identify targets.
• Apply ML and data-mining techniques to extract meaningful patterns from data.
• Perform QC, normalization, and batch correction across heterogeneous datasets.
• Design, optimize, and maintain scalable bioinformatics pipelines.
• Implement version-controlled code to ensure reproducibility and scalability.
• Integrate existing biological databases with internal datasets.
• Translate computational findings into actionable biological narratives for biologists and clinicians.
• Collaborate with IT and other functional groups.
