Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software for bioinformatics pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven software that meets business needs and supports clinical research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/SE/Bioinformatics or related field, Master preferred.
• 5+ years in software development with scalable solutions.
• Experience with laboratory or clinical data helpful.

Responsibilities

• BI development: design, develop, maintain software for bioinformatics pipelines.
• Data modeling: optimize data models, ensure data integrity and performance.
• ETL: develop and optimize ETL processes and APIs.
• SQL performance: analyze and optimize queries, contribute to schema design.
• Dashboard/reporting: build dashboards and automated reports for stakeholders.
• Collaboration: work with analysts, clinicians, and developers to deliver solutions.
