C4 Therapeutics is seeking a Lead Discovery Scientist to lead the biochemistry and biophysics team in Watertown, MA. You will design and oversee assays that characterize protein–protein and protein–small molecule interactions, integrating data to drive hit validation and SAR in early discovery programs.

You will operate at the interface of Lead Discovery, Biology, and Computational disciplines, contributing to program strategy while mentoring scientists and managing CRO partnerships.

Formación

• PhD with at least eight years post‑graduate experience in biotech/pharma drug discovery.
• Demonstrated expertise in quantitative characterization of PPIs and PPI–small molecule interactions.
• Experience leading complex scientific operations across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience contributing to early-stage drug discovery and SAR guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide scientific and operational leadership for biochemical and biophysical assay strategies.
• Design, develop, and oversee assays for protein–protein and protein–small molecule interactions.
• Apply SPR, BLI, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA, and fluorescence polarization to generate high-quality data.
• Lead complex workstreams across multidisciplinary teams with clear goals and timelines.
• Integrate data across formats to guide compound prioritization and program strategy.
• Mentor scientists and manage CRO relationships and external collaborations.
