C4 Therapeutics is seeking a Principal Scientist, Biology (Immunology) in Watertown, MA to drive mechanism-based immunology programs using our TORPEDO platform and lead targets from discovery through IND-enabling studies. You will work with primary human immune cells and translate mechanistic insights into program advances.

This role requires a PhD with 10+ years in biotech/pharma, deep autoimmune/inflammatory biology expertise, and a track record of mentorship and CRO management.

Formación

• Ph.D. in Immunology or related field with 10+ years in biotech/pharma drug discovery and proven leadership of autoimmune/inflammatory programs.
• Hands-on experience with primary immune cell assays and mechanism-of-action studies across cytokine and inflammatory pathways.
• Expertise in immune cell biology, translational pharmacology, and biomarker strategy.
• Strong publication/patent record and management of matrixed teams and CROs.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Independently design, execute, optimize, and troubleshoot experiments on primary human immune cells to study degrader mechanisms and biomarkers.
• Define links among target degradation, pathway modulation, and immune outcomes through pharmacology studies.
• Apply immune signaling expertise to select systems, stimuli, and readouts.
• Lead immunology discovery programs from target identification to candidate selection.
• Set strategy and milestones to build translational data packages supporting development.
• Integrate biology, pharmacology, and chemistry data to guide decisions.
• Identify novel autoimmune targets and pathways and build collaborations.
• Mentor scientists and foster scientific rigor and collaboration.
