Job summary

The role partners with Structural Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Discovery Biology, and Assay Development to drive mechanistic understanding and faster project decisions,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 8+ years in industry drug discovery.
• Strong experimental design, data interpretation, and selection of orthogonal approaches.
• Extensive hands-on protein biochemistry and biophysics experience.
• Ability to integrate biophysics with chemistry, structural biology, and biology to guide decisions.
• Independent work style with collaborative teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as biophysical expert on multidisciplinary discovery teams.
• Design, execute, and interpret quantitative biophysical experiments.
• Develop orthogonal strategies to accelerate hit confirmation and mechanistic understanding.
• Build and optimize workflows for recombinant proteins and complexes.
• Characterize weak, transient, and cooperative protein interactions.
• Develop robust biophysical assays, workflows, and best practices.
