Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a BIM/VDC Manager to lead Digital Engineering, VDC, and Digital Delivery across multiple large projects within our Mission Critical vertical. The role collaborates with design partners, trade contractors, and vendors to ensure compliant, actionable digital deliverables aligned with project goals.

The position requires hands-on BIM implementation in the field, QA/QC verification, site-condition capture via laser scanning, photogrammetry, and UAVs.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum.
• Minimum 5-10 years of VDC related design and/or construction experience with progression of responsibilities.
• Proven success leading VDC on multiple projects or one XL project; experience with various building types preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to teach, train, and present.
• Capability in 3D parametric modeling software and model coordination software; ability to produce quantity takeoff extraction and 4D simulations; render high-quality images.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital engineering, VDC, and digital delivery across multiple large projects.
• Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans and startup workflows from preconstruction to turnover.
• Drive coordination across stakeholders including clash detection and issue tracking.
• Manage delivery of digital engineering scopes, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder adherence.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards, deliverables schedules, and coordination documentation.
• Support 3D/4D/5D/6D/7D model-based workflows and digitization efforts.
