Job summary

Performance Contracting Group, based in Malta, NY, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support BIM/VDC workflows for the PCI Albany 576 operations. You will create 3D models in Revit, coordinate with the design and operations teams, and ensure models meet level of development, coordination, and project requirements.

The role requires 4+ years of BIM (Revit)/VDC experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 Design/Glue, and a portfolio in Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in construction or engineering.
• 2-year technical degree or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu.
• 4+ years BIM (Revit)/VDC modeling and coordination experience.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Design/Glue.
• Portfolio demonstrating work in Revit and Revit Family Editor.
• Experience with Bluebeam PDF Software.
• Ability to understand design and document coordination.
• Innovative and creatively minded individual looking to improve process, procedure, and construction techniques to provide continued improvement and efficiency to role, work scopes, and our customers.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Ability to work in a team environment and have durations of independent/isolated/unsupervised environments.

Responsibilities

• Attend kick-off meetings to align on LOD, scope, and contract requirements.
• Create 3D models using Revit and coordinate with BIM/VDC team.
• Perform BIM compliance checks and clash detection with Navisworks.
• Coordinate with point cloud data and ensure model coordination.
• Prepare and organize CAD/Navisworks files for field use.
• Support design tasks, layouts, and installation drawings.
