Job summary

Bennett & Pless is seeking a full-time Senior BIM Technician in our Dallas, TX office. You will model and detail complex framing systems and ensure accuracy of BIM models and contract drawings.

Applicants should have 5+ years in construction or structural engineering, an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Rhino, Civil3D and Tekla. Strong team collaboration and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering Technology
• 5+ years of experience in the construction or structural engineering industry
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360 and Navisworks
• Basic knowledge of commercial building code and applicable structural design code material references
• Basic knowledge of building systems
• Ability to deliver BIM model, individually or within a team, working within a model template, detail library, and client standards

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accuracy of the BIM model and contract drawings.
• Assist BIM Manager in updating or modifying company drawing standards, including model templates, detail library, and drawing or QC processes.
• Provide a self-backcheck as quality control review prior to engineer or project manager review to ensure submittals meet project standards.
• Provide modeling or detailing assistance for projects outside of target specialty or for other B&P offices as necessary.
