Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services in Columbus, OH is seeking a Billing Operations SME who will provide advanced analytical support and lead continuous improvements across billing processes. You will partner with Accounting, Operations, IT, and vendors to enhance accuracy, controls, and customer experience.

Responsibilities include multi-system billing reconciliation, root-cause analysis, SOP development, and reporting of KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Four (4) or more years in Insurance operations, billing operations, accounting support, financial services, or related experience, including billing reconciliation, operational analysis, quality assurance, or process improvement.
• License or Certification Property Casualty Insurance

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced billing reconciliation across multiple systems, GL validation, premium and refund analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
• Research and resolve recurring or systemic billing issues with cross-functional partners to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Serve as SME for assigned billing systems, troubleshooting issues, documenting defects, gathering business requirements, validating enhancements, and conducting user acceptance testing.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance billing accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience; evaluate emerging technologies for billing operations.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to monitor billing operations and operational risk.
• Develop and maintain billing quality standards through audits, SOPs, and performance measures.
