Job summary

Databricks in the United States is seeking a Big Data Solutions Architect (Resident Solutions Architect) to work with clients on short to medium term engagements, delivering data engineering, data science, and cloud projects that integrate with client systems and train teams.

You will guide end-to-end big data and AI deployments, design reference architectures, and collaborate with project managers to scope work. Travel up to 20% and Databricks Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps.
• Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience with technical project delivery and managing scope/timelines.
• Documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
• Travel to customers 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reference architectures, create how-to's and productionalize customer use cases.
• Work with engagement managers to scope professional services with input from the customer.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end big data and AI deployments.
• Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects to drive adoption.
• Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to ensure delivery meets customer needs.
• Provide feedback to engineering and support for product and deployment improvements.
