Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Big Data Engineer in Chicago with a hybrid work model. You will design, build, and maintain scalable Big Data solutions, leading end-to-end data pipelines across cloud platforms and modern processing frameworks.

You will enable data-driven decisions for clients, while mentoring junior teammates and contributing hands-on to delivery. The role emphasizes Python proficiency, Databricks expertise, and experience with both streaming and batch data, warehouse

Qualifications

• End-to-end data pipelines and production-grade data platforms experience.
• Hands-on with a leading public cloud data platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Databricks including notebooks, jobs, Delta Lake or lakehouse patterns.
• Strong Python and data engineering tooling experience.
• Experience with columnar/NoSQL databases and traditional RDBMS.
• Experience with streaming and batch data integrations (Glue, Lambda, Dataflow, ADF, Spark).
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehouse design, and modern lakehouse/data mesh patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large-scale data workflows across cloud platforms and distributed processing.
