Job summary

Publicis Sapient in Chicago is seeking a Manager Big Data Engineering to design, build, and optimize data platforms for scalable analytics. You will lead cross-functional teams across client projects and deliver end-to-end data solutions that transform business outcomes.

The role emphasizes building batch and streaming pipelines on cloud data platforms, with a focus on data foundations, ML/AI readiness, and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing end-to-end data pipelines and production-grade data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with leading public cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Databricks, notebooks, jobs, Delta Lake or lakehouse patterns.
• Strong Python proficiency for data engineering workflows.
• Experience with columnar databases (BigQuery, Redshift, Vertica) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with streaming and batch data integration tools (Glue ETL, Lambda, Dataflow, Spark).
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts and data engineering for AI/ML deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of large-scale data systems.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute hands-on to delivery.
• Build and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines across cloud platforms.
• Develop data foundations and scalable data services for AI-enabled solutions.
