Job summary

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Associate Data Engineer in Chicago with a hybrid work model. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data solutions, working with real-time processing, cloud platforms, and large datasets to enable data-driven decision-making for clients.

Your responsibilities include building end-to-end data pipelines, modernizing data platforms, and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines and production-grade data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with leading public cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Databricks including notebooks, jobs, Delta Lake or lakehouse patterns.
• Strong Python proficiency for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with columnar/NoSQL databases and traditional RDBMS.
• Experience with streaming and batch data integrations (e.g., Spark, Dataflow, Glue).
• Familiarity with data modeling, warehouse design, and data mesh/lakehouse patterns.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, testing, release management, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data solutions.
• Lead data platform modernization initiatives and large-scale data systems.
• Build and optimize batch and streaming pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Support AI-enabled engineering use cases with robust data foundations.
• Automate platform operations, telemetry, and observability.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to delivery.
