Job summary

Follett Higher Education is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Engineer to design and implement scalable analytics solutions across the organization. You will partner with enterprise stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven analytics, dashboards, and semantic layers that support critical decision-making.

The role requires strong ETL, data modeling, and communication skills, with experience in Agile environments and cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• 7+ years designing and implementing end-to-end data analytics solutions
• Experience designing semantic layers for BI/Analytics
• Strong ETL and data pipeline expertise
• Experience developing actionable reports and dashboards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Cloud experience (Azure and Google Cloud) a plus
• Experience in retail or education industries a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions for the enterprise
• Build and maintain relationships with business users and IT leadership to capture requirements
• Create data dictionaries, mappings, and functional/technical documentation
• Perform data analysis and profiling to identify quality issues and coordinate with data owners to resolve them
• Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new technologies for potential use
• Support project planning, estimate development efforts, and manage timelines and resources
