Job summary

Vivint Smart Home is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines and a scalable analytics data warehouse. You will work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to instrument data capture, transform raw data, and deliver trustworthy datasets for dashboards and analyses.

You will drive data quality end-to-end, partner with stakeholders to translate needs into data models, and build internal tools to accelerate reporting and insights.

Qualifications

• Experience owning production data pipelines.
• Fluent in SQL and Python with experience building data pipelines.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow) and transformation frameworks (dbt).
• Strong data modeling and warehousing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and maintenance of core data pipelines and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with engineering to instrument data capture and ensure reliable data lands in systems.
• Build and optimize data models to turn unstructured data into clean, reusable datasets for analysis.
• Own data quality end-to-end with monitoring and alerting for pipeline reliability.
• Partner with analysts, product managers, and leaders to translate reporting needs into scalable data structures.
• Develop internal tools and automation, including AI and scripting, to reduce manual reporting effort.
