Job summary

Vivint Smart Home in Seattle is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the central analytics team and build the data infrastructure that powers product decisions. You will own core data pipelines, models, and metrics, partnering with engineering to instrument data and ensure trustworthy datasets at scale.

• Experience building production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data engineering/analytics.
• Familiarity with data modeling and warehousing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of core data pipelines and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Define instrumentation and event tracking with engineering to ensure reliable data lands in systems.
• Build and optimize data models turning unstructured data into clean, reusable datasets for analysis at scale.
• Own data quality end-to-end including validation, monitoring, and alerting to catch issues early.
• Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and business leaders to translate reporting needs into scalable data structures.
• Develop internal tools and automation, including AI and scripting, to reduce manual reporting effort.
• Support self-serve analytics by exposing clean datasets and a consistent metrics layer.
