Job summary

Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Senior BI Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise BI solutions that support strategic objectives and data-driven decision making. You will guide BI projects end-to-end and collaborate with data engineers to optimize pipelines and ETL processes.

In this role, you will translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations, ensure governance and security standards, and mentor analysts while shaping the organization’s BI strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• 5+ years of BI development experience.
• Proficient in SQL: joins, aggregation, indexes, views, nested queries.
• Proficient in Power BI: Power Query, DAX measures, STAR schema, Git versioning.

Responsibilities

• Leads BI projects from initiation to completion.
• Collaborates with data engineers to optimize pipelines and ETL.
• Executes data extraction from structured and unstructured sources.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to drive business decisions via BI.
