Placements24 is seeking a Senior BI Developer to join its analytics team in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design, develop, and maintain robust BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in BI development, strong SQL skills, and experience with data warehousing and ETL. Cloud BI familiarity is a plus, with opportunities for growth and impactful projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence development.
• Proven expertise with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of data modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively gather and interpret business requirements.
• Experience working in the Northern Cape region is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from various sources.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data warehousing and data integration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across BI platforms.
• Optimize BI reports and dashboards for performance and user experience.
• Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
• Stay current with BI technologies and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI solutions.
• Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
