Job summary

ZT Systems seeks a Data Engineer to own data flow from manufacturing and business systems to dashboards and reports. You’ll map data lineage end to end, protect metric integrity, and support SOX compliance as a public company.

You’ll collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to translate business processes into reliable data solutions, bridging technical and non-technical teams with clear data definitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years in data engineering, BI, or related roles.
• Strong Python and pandas for data processing and transformation.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex queries and data modeling.
• Experience with Git and Jira for version control and agile work.
• Solid data lineage, governance, and quality practices.
• Familiarity with SOX controls as they apply to data and reporting.
• Excellent cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from source systems to reporting datasets.
• Document and maintain data lineage from source to dashboards.
• Ensure accuracy and usability of key business metrics with validation checks.
• Develop SOX-compliant data processes including access controls and audit trails.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations and other teams to translate processes into data solutions.
• Clarify data definitions and resolve data quality issues across teams.
• Manage work through Jira and follow Git version-control best practices.
