Job summary

Zymo Research seeks a hands-on Business Intelligence Engineer to contribute to data pipelines and analytics that support Commercial Operations. You will transform complex commercial, marketing, and external data into structured insights for leadership decisions and prioritization.

This role is code-first and intersects analytics, engineering, and commercial strategy, with direct exposure to executive leadership.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Experience building scripts/pipelines/small applications that pull data from multiple sources.
Experience in analytics-heavy advisory roles or management consulting is a plus.
Experience in commercial analytics, life sciences, or scientific data environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Extract, integrate, and transform data from internal systems and external sources using APIs, scripts, and web tools.
Build scalable ETL workflows combining commercial, scientific, and market data.
Design and deliver dashboards, scorecards, and analyses to track commercial performance.
Conduct ad hoc analyses and deep dives to support strategic decisions and prioritization.
Apply statistical techniques for forecasting, segmentation, and diagnostics.
Prepare executive-ready presentations synthesizing insights and recommendations.
