Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join the Emerging Technology & Innovation team. The role blends business insight, technical analysis, and product direction with a focus on AI, automation, cognitive intelligence, IoT, image forensics, and inspection technologies.

You will identify opportunities, guide PoVs, and help transition validated ideas into scalable, enterprise-ready capabilities and solutions in a hybrid in-office/remote setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role, preferably in Property & Casualty insurance.
• Experience translating ambiguous business needs into actionable requirements, product direction, and backlog content.
• Experience with PoVs, pilots, innovation initiatives, or emerging technology evaluations and transitioning concepts into production-ready capabilities.
• Strong collaboration across business, product, technical, and vendor teams in agile environments.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools and platforms such as Rally, Power BI, or Visio is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities for technology-enabled improvement.
• Research emerging technologies and market trends to identify practical innovation opportunities.
• Translate ideas into problem statements, opportunity briefs, user stories, and backlog items.
• Lead PoVs from concept to business case and transition into scalable solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to define MVP scope, requirements, dependencies, and success measures.
