Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Senior/Staff BESS Land Development Project Manager to join an early-stage engineering team. You will lead land use and development due diligence for battery energy storage systems, turning rough site data into a solid development basis with strong permitting pathways.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field, Civil/Environmental preferred.
• 5+ years in energy project development and land use; BESS/utility scale experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NEPA, CWA, NHPA, ESA processes and entitlements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; project management skills.
• PE or AICP credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs for development and due diligence on US BESS sites.
• Manage external consultants for land use due diligence from screening to design handoff.
• Produce site-screening analysis and diligence exhibits.
• Scope and manage site surveys, geotechnical studies, and drainage analyses.
• Oversee NEPA environmental due diligence and federal/state reviews.
• Drive entitlements, permits, budgets, and inter-agency coordination.
• Identify and secure non-power utilities and coordinate consultants.
• Deliver feasibility studies and Basis of Design package.
