Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Sr. Engineer: BESS Acoustics SME to support utility-scale projects through acoustic modeling and noise mitigation. Location is Juno Beach, FL with onsite preference but remote work may be considered.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5+ years in acoustics, with experience in equipment manufacturers and project teams. Occasional travel is expected; AI tools and regulatory interpretation are part of duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical discipline.
Five or more years of outdoor/environmental acoustics, acoustic modeling, noise control, or related field experience.
Experience working with equipment manufacturers, engineering consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues and communicate goals.
INCE certification is helpful.
Willingness to travel occasionally for project, vendor, and site visits.

Responsibilities

BESS acoustics modeling & technical review for utility-scale projects.
Noise mitigation, vendor & technology evaluation for HVAC, PCS/inverters, transformers, and substations.
Permitting, field measurements & project support; apply AI-enabled tools to improve analysis and workflows.
