Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Sr Engineer BESS Technology SME for a one-year contract assignment in Florida. You will join the Utility Scale Energy Storage team and report to the onsite manager, focusing on sizing, methodology, and optimization of BESS projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 5+ years of engineering experience. Onsite work in Juno Beach, FL is expected, with opportunity to influence sizing tools and processes.

About the role: Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We're looking for a Sr Engineer BESS Technology Subject Matter Expert on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) The Utility Scale Energy Storage team is looking for an engineer to serve as the Battery Technology & Sizing Lead in an important Sr. Engineering role. You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for utility-scale BESS sizing, providing technical leadership on sizing methodology, assumptions, optimization, and project-specific sizing decisions.

• Improve engineering tools that automate BESS sizing, technical evaluations, battery performance forecast, and repetitive engineering workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ year of experience.
