Job summary

Us Tech Solutions seeks a senior engineer to serve as the BESS Acoustics SME for utility-scale projects. You will lead acoustic modeling, review layouts, assess noise impacts, and recommend practical mitigation strategies for HVAC, PCS/inverters, transformers, and substations.

Responsibilities include evaluating vendor data, ensuring regulatory alignment, and communicating findings to multi-disciplinary teams while supporting ongoing improvement of modeling workflows and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in outdoor/environmental acoustics or related field.
• Experience with acoustic modeling and noise-control approaches.
• Ability to review consultant work and provide actionable recommendations.
• Familiarity with ISO/ANSI acoustics standards and permitting criteria.

Responsibilities

• Serve as outdoor and environmental acoustics SME for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Perform and review outdoor acoustic modeling to evaluate layouts and sound propagation.
• Review consultant studies for key assumptions, inputs and conclusions.
• Provide technical review and sign-off on acoustic work within the team.
