Job summary

5+ years HR experience in benefits, leave, or workers’ compensation.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee assigned claims on an ongoing basis and close them where possible.
Explain workers’ compensation benefits and procedures to injured employees and coordinate return-to-work opportunities.
Interpret and explain rules, regulations, and procedures to employees and management.
Coordinate claims process by liaising between injured employee, leadership, insurer, medical provider and consultant.
Work with on-site safety to investigate incidents and file claims; identify red flags for escalation.
Investigate, analyze, and determine the company’s exposure with workers’ compensation claims.
Respond to workers’ compensation subpoenas promptly.
Support health/welfare benefits and retirement plan administration; assist with leaves of absence.
