BHDIC is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Representative for a fully remote role in the continental US. This position focuses on loss time workers' compensation claims with emphasis on California, including handling settlements and coordinating with claimants, attorneys, and investigators.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant claims experience or 5+ years without a degree, plus Claims Adjuster designation or SIP certification.

• Alternative: 5+ years workers' comp claims experience without a degree.
• Claims Adjuster designation or SIP Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine compensability and coverage issues for loss time workers' comp claims.
• Manage a caseload across multiple jurisdictions.
• Negotiate and direct settlements under management review.
• Gather medical and factual evidence to determine compensability.
• Direct outside investigations and handle litigation files with authority.
• Coordinate with claimants, attorneys, investigators, rehab personnel, and insureds.
