The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in HR benefits or workers’ comp, and bilingual Spanish/English, with proficiency in MS Office. PHR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 5+ years HR experience in benefits, leave, or workers’ compensation.
• Bilingual Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee assigned claims on an on-going basis.
• Explain workers’ compensation benefits and procedures to injured employees and coordinate return-to-work opportunities.
• Interpret and explain rules, regulations, and procedures to employees and management.
• Coordinate and facilitate claims process between injured employee, leadership, insurer, medical provider and consultant.
• Work with on-site safety to investigate incidents and file claims; identify red flags.
• Investigate, analyze, and determine the company’s exposure with workers’ compensation claims.
• Respond to workers’ compensation subpoenas promptly.
• Other duties including benefits administration, wellness initiatives and leaves of absence.
