Acrisure in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert on employee benefits and support open enrollment, audits, and system testing. You will collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and vendors to resolve escalated issues and ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of benefits administration, strong ERISA/ACA/COBRA/HIPAA knowledge, and advanced Workday skills for configuration testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and IRS Section 125.
• Advanced knowledge of Workday, including configuration testing and reporting.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting annual open enrollment cycles.
• Excellent communication with employees and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated benefit issues with accuracy and professionalism.
• Lead audits of internal and vendor benefit data for compliance.
• Plan and execute annual open enrollment including testing and communications.
• Serve as Workday benefits SME for testing and new configurations.
• Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and vendors to improve workflows.
• Analyze benefit trends and compliance metrics to drive improvements.
• Develop training materials and job aids for Benefits team.
• Maintain expertise in ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Section 125.
