Job description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for issues related to our benefit and wellness programs. This role collaborates across all organizational levels to solve problems and deliver excellent customer service to employees.

The candidate will identify opportunities, take ownership of initiatives, and ensure all plans are compliant with legal and fiscal requirements.

Travel: Minimal, with some travel during open enrollment.

Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience, performance, location, and market conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Management (60%): Manage the entire benefits lifecycle, lead UAT, ensure compliance, manage 401K administration, and serve as a system expert.
  • Compliance (20%): Ensure adherence to laws, perform audits, and verify benefit deductions and contributions.
  • Projects (10%): Lead or participate in related projects.
  • Growth/Innovation (10%): Stay updated on industry trends, recommend improvements, and train new specialists.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years in Benefits and 401K administration.
  • Experience in provider negotiations, system oversight, and deadline management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • CEBS designation preferred.
