• Preference for extensive benefits and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily unit operations and staff in the Benefits Unit.
• Serve as liaison with health plans, carriers, and plan members regarding coverage and claims.
• Coordinate pension and retirement inquiries with NYS Employee Retirement System.
• Develop instructional materials and training for staff on benefit programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations governing benefits.
• Assist with eligibility determinations and explain coverage options.
• Guide judges and employees on benefit matters; assist with new-hire benefits orientation.
• Prepare benefit analyses and program reports; assist with COBRA administration.
• Coordinate benefits analysts in NYC and Albany; travel within New York State may be required.
