Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer and deliver employee benefits programs with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and superior service. You will liaise with vendors, advise employees on eligibility, and support enrollment processes.

The role requires 5–7 years of benefits experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong Excel/HRIS skills. CEBS/CBP is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years benefits experience.
• CEBS or CBP certification preferred but not required.
• Experience administering medical, dental, life/disability and other insurance programs.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Knowledge of employment law and regulations as it relates to employee benefits.
• Meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provides benefits support to employees and resolves inquiries with excellent service.
• Maintains thorough understanding of multiple benefit plans and complex designs.
• Ensures enrollment data accuracy and performs payroll file audits.
• Administers tuition reimbursement program and tracks requests.
• Monitors benefit payments for leaves of absence and coordinates with internal departments.
• Reconciles carrier invoices and processes payments.
• Supports annual Open Enrollment activities and enrollment site reviews.
• Assists with creation of benefit communications materials.
• Attends benefit fairs and new employee orientations as needed.
• Assists with ACA reporting and compliance.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee information.
• Supports various projects as needed.
