Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 4–6 years in a benefits role with supervisory experience.
• Experience designing and administering self-insured and fully insured plans.
• Experience with 401(k) retirement administration.
• Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ADA.
• Proven ability to analyze data and communicate complex benefit information.

Responsibilities

• Administers employee benefit programs, such as health insurance and wellness initiatives, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Administers the employer sponsored 401(k) retirement plan, including eligibility, review, and company match with Fidelity and third-party administrator.
• Oversees leaves of absence, ensuring policy and legal compliance at state and federal levels.
• Assists in design and implementation of benefit programs.
• Collaborates with brokers, carriers, and vendors to address service or claims issues.
• Manages open enrollment, including employee communications, presentations, and training.
• Provides support to employees regarding benefit plans, claims, and eligibility inquiries.
• Ensures compliance with laws by studying legislation and advising management on actions.
• Manages a team of benefits support staff.
