Job summary

The Sharon is a continuing care retirement community in Charlotte, NC, seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer and improve our employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plans. You will be the primary contact for benefits inquiries and work with vendors to ensure accurate, compliant delivery of services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years administering employee benefits and leave programs.
• Experience with 401(k) plan administration, ACA compliance, and health and welfare benefits.
• Experience with benefits audits, compliance reporting, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Administer health and welfare benefit programs and open enrollment events.
• Coordinate leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, STD, LTD, and state/local leaves.
• Educate employees on benefit plans and assist with benefit issues by coordinating with vendors and carriers.
• Ensure data accuracy in HRIS and carrier systems and maintain compliant reporting.
