Qualifications

  • Three+ years administering employee benefit programs with emphasis on defined contribution retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), 457(b).
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
  • Experience with audits and Form 5500 filings, vendor relationships, and participant communications.
  • Experience leading projects, system enhancements, testing, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Brown University Health's financial well-being benefit programs, focusing on 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b).
  • Support life insurance, student loan assistance, education benefits, and employee perks.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, participant transactions, and vendor coordination.
  • Partner with Payroll for accurate deductions and employer contributions; ensure payroll-to-vendor reconciliations.
  • Perform data analysis, audits, and reconciliations to support compliance and data integrity.
  • Support annual compliance activities, including Form 5500 filings and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors, recordkeepers, auditors, and consultants to resolve issues.
  • Develop procedures, documentation, internal controls, and communications for leadership and employees.
