Job summary

Lockton is seeking a Senior Benefit Analyst for its Employee Benefits consulting group in Chicago. This role supports marketing and servicing of new and renewal accounts, with long-term potential toward an Account Manager.

You will assist in client enrollments, renewals, and marketing efforts, while developing relationships with carriers and administrators. Strong organization and communication skills are essential to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and/or 1-3 years’ administrative experience in a professional office environment.
• Strong Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook skills with advanced spreadsheet knowledge.
• Strong math skills including percentages.
• Excellent organizational and time management to prioritize heavy workloads and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to understand when to proceed independently and when to involve others.
• Professional written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad administrative support to the Account Manager and Account Executive.
• Client enrollment meetings.
• Mid-Year/Client Renewals.
• Marketing efforts (develop RFPS; coordinate vendor responses and follow-up; prepare final Marketing Report; ensure correct commission levels are included).
• Develop mutually beneficial relationships with insurance carriers and administrators.
• Prepare Service Schedules & Maintain Open Item Lists.
• Report Preparation (experience reports, management reports, various marketing reports).
• Provide AE and/or UM with necessary components needed to complete renewal projections.
• Attend staff meetings, department, and carrier meetings as well as educational workshops.
• New Client Set-Up; Existing Client File Maintenance.
• Create and distribute Client & Carrier correspondence.
• Update Client and Carrier information in applicable database.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Complete special projects.
