Job summary

Supabase is hiring experienced performance engineers to build benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling across cloud, database, and end-to-end systems. You will define benchmark suites, establish baselines, and create reproducible reports to help product teams understand performance changes.

You’ll join a new performance team, work with seasoned engineers, and help shape how we measure, communicate, and publish credible performance for customers and the market.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling (cloud, database, and end-to-end).
• Define benchmark suites and reference workloads reflecting real customer behavior.
• Establish performance baselines and regression gates across products.
• Build mechanisms that turn benchmark results into actionable reports and workflows.
• Partner with database teams to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Enable the company to publish credible, repeatable performance numbers.
• Help teams self-serve performance testing and treat performance as a first-class concern.
