Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Senior Case Manager to oversee case management staff on a 30-bed inpatient senior psychiatry service at MGB-Salem Hospital. The unit treats individuals generally 55+ with psychiatric and/or neurocognitive disorders, offering evaluation and coordinated care.

The role emphasizes supervision, collaboration with unit leadership, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or social work.
• Independent license strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising students a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in a behavioral health or clinical environment.
• Supervisory or leadership role 1-2 years preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in program development, staff management, and budget oversight.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Experience working in a healthcare facility or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all case managers and manage case assignments.
• Collaborate with unit leadership on operations and quality initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to reduce length of stay and oversee CM-related quality improvements.
• Provide initial psychosocial assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for assigned cases.
• Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare follow-up.
