Job Summary

Senior case manager to provide oversight of case management staff on a 30 bed, inpatient, senior psychiatry service at MGB-Salem Hospital. The unit provides evaluation and care of individuals generally 55 or older who are struggling with general psychiatric disorders, neurocognitive disorders or both.

• Supervision of all case mangers including case assignments
• Working in collaboration with unit leadership
• Opportunities to reduce LOS and oversight of other quality improvement initiatives related to CM services.
• Clinical responsibilities include provision of initial psychosocial assessments and implementing appropriate comprehensive focal treatment plans for all assigned cases.
• Provides discharge planning and aftercare follow-up.

Must have a master's degree in counseling or social work.

• Independent license strongly preferred.
• Supervision of students a plus.

MGB-Salem Hospital Psychiatry service includes 120 inpatient beds, PHP and three very busy outpatient clinics. MGB-Salem Hospital is a member of the Mass General Brigham Health Care Network that includes MGH, Brigham, McLean, Newton Wellesley Hospital and other MGB institutions.

Licenses and Credentials

• Social Worker [Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - LICSW - MA] - preferred

Experience

• Experience in a behavioral health or clinical environment 3-5 years required and Experience in a supervisory or leadership role 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated experience in program development, staff management, and budget oversight.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Experience working in a healthcare facility or hospital setting.
