Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field, or equivalent education with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Active, unrestricted licensure within scope (e.g., RN, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LBA, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist).
• Licensure required; BCBA acceptable in states without licensure for ABA approvals with supervision.
• Prior case management/utilization management experience with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases.
• Prior managed-care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess member needs using screening criteria and clinical judgment to ensure access to medically necessary behavioral healthcare.
• Refer cases to peer reviewers as appropriate.
• Coordinate, implement, and monitor psychiatric and substance abuse treatment plans and evaluate outcomes.
• Serve as a resource to other behavioral health care managers.
• Assist with complex cases and participate in cross-functional teams and projects.
