Job summary

Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) – Division of Developmental Disabilities seeks a Case Manager 3 in Behavioral Health. The role focuses on completing ISPs, coordinating services, and ensuring ALTCS/DD-only compliance while supporting individuals and families in the Tucson area.

The position requires field visits, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and thorough documentation to meet state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

Must possess and retain a valid driver’s license to drive State business.
RN license or degree in social work or psychology/special education/counseling with case management experience required.
Must pass background checks and fingerprint clearance; E-Verify.
Must be able to work independently and in diverse teams; strong documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

Complete ISPs, progress notes, and annual reviews; maintain organized case files.
Perform field visits to homes, group homes, schools and facilities to engage clients and families.
Monitor placement safety, assess mental health status, and develop case plan goals.
Attend discharge planning, hearings, and collaborate with mental health agencies and facilities.
Prepare cost-effective studies, update demographics, and file required reports.
Coordinate with other case managers and supervisors, stepping in as needed.
Manage payment/information system entries and service authorizations.
