Parallax Center Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Biller in New York to handle day-to-day billing operations, reimbursements and financial reporting.

The role involves coordinating with the CT billing team, providers, and leadership to optimize billing workflow and ensure accurate coding and documentation. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone.

• Previous experience with Behavioral Health coding and billing.

Responsibilities

• Check eligibility and VOB for client.
• Manage copay and deductible collections; monitor submission of claims and denials/appeals.
• Queue and submit all 822 and 816 billings for weekly RCM.
• Verify and train support staff on weekly service sheets and monthly reconciliations.
• Monitor net/gross collections, AR, edits and rejections; address issues weekly.
• Post electronic charges including demographics and insurance data; post payments.
• Research claim denials and contact payers for timely resolution.
• Work AR and file claims appeals.
• Answer phones and assist patients with billing questions.
• Develop and implement billing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure authorizations, billing, postings, collections and write-offs stay within standards.
• Review insurance reports; track codes, payments, denials and refunds for compliance.
• Be proficient with ICD-10 and navigate insurer websites; comply with regulations.
• Communicate issues to manager; cover front desk as needed.
