Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking an Assistant BIS to support individuals with I/DD through structured behavioral and habilitative programming. The role includes implementing Behavior Support Plans, leading on-call coverage, and guiding staff in evidence-based interventions with a person-centered approach.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document data weekly, and participate in team meetings to optimize care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related Human Services discipline and at least 6 months of experience with individuals with I/DD, or 2 years in a direct care role.
• Experience with behavioral/psychiatric conditions and documenting information for staff and providers.
• Foundational certifications: SCIP-R, CPR and AMAP or Day Services Training as required by program.
• Ability to travel regionally and meet essential physical demands including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend/evening shifts and supervise staff in BIS role.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans and document progress.
• Provide training to direct care staff using EMOE system and provide feedback.
• Attend IDT and life plan meetings and contribute to program improvements.
