Saltu Staffing is assisting a leading Am Law firm in finding a Sr. Business Development Specialist to drive growth for the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice in New York.

You will identify new business opportunities, lead client pitches and proposals, and collaborate with attorneys and marketing to expand cross‑practice relationships. Strong writing and relationship skills are essential to succeed in this client‑facing role.

Qualifications

• Experience in law firm or professional services business development.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy, restructuring, or related financial services.
• Experience preparing RFPs, pitches, proposals, and client presentations.
• Strong relationship, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to work with attorneys, partners and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and business development research tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for the practice.
• Identify prospective clients, referral sources, and new opportunities.
• Lead client pitches, RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
• Build relationships with attorneys, financial institutions, restructuring advisors, and industry contacts.
• Conduct market research and monitor bankruptcy filings, restructuring activity, and industry trends.
• Identify cross-practice opportunities and expand client relationships.
• Maintain CRM records and track business development opportunities.
• Collaborate with attorneys and marketing on client outreach and BD initiatives.
