Job summary

Suffolk Construction in Boston seeks a Senior Business Development Operations Analyst to design and ship internal tools that automate manual tasks and provide data-driven insights to the Business Development team.

Reporting to the Director, you will mentor peers, collaborate with IT/Data/AI, and deliver research-backed briefs to executive leadership while elevating analytical standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
• 4+ years of analytics, business intelligence, consulting or operations experience with structured analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience building and deploying internal tools and automated workflows for business users, including AI-enabled applications.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python, and experience with cloud-based analytics environments (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Track record of identifying problems independently and proposing solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

• Enable data-driven selling with dashboards, reports, and datasets to track performance and revenue opportunities.
• Improve the existing tools and reduce manual effort by extending trackers and solutions.
• Build internal tools from problem definition through rollout and adoption.
• Originate new data approaches and datasets to empower sellers and leadership.
• Deliver research-backed briefs and present findings to leadership.
• Level up the team by mentoring on tooling and analytics patterns.
• Represent BD with IT, Data, and AI, translating needs into platform standards and ownership.
