Job summary

Cornerstone Research seeks a Senior Manager, Business Development to coordinate and prioritize BD activity across our Finance practices. You will work with practice leadership and the Marketing team to drive strategic initiatives and grow client relationships.

You will manage the BD Specialist, contribute to budgets, and own the Client and Expert Feedback Program, while mentoring teammates and advancing our firm’s growth across multiple finance areas.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing in a law firm or professional services firm.
• CRM experience required.
• Strong analytical and strategic marketing capabilities.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Capability to manage a broad, varied practice portfolio.
• Ability to commute to NYC, DC, or Chicago for hybrid work 2–3 days.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic MBD plans for assigned practices, including goal statements, sponsorships, campaigns, events, client targets, and initiatives; manage implementation and measure outcomes.
• Coordinate and prioritize BD activity across Cornerstone Research’s Finance practices.
• Evaluate new BD opportunities by building relationships, identifying revenue streams, and cross-selling to clients.
• Act as a marketing/BD knowledge resource, tracking thought leadership for outreach opportunities.
• Contribute to development and monitoring of BD budgets for practice groups.
• Manage and mentor the Business Development Specialist.
• Own the Client and Expert Feedback Program, including annual meetings and material development.
