Job summary

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager – Restructuring to partner with leadership and the Business Development team to drive high‑impact BD initiatives, secure new clients, and strengthen existing relationships.

The role focuses on developing strategic client materials, pitches, and RFP responses, while overseeing marketing and communications for restructuring practices across offices. MBA/JD preferred; 6+ years in BD in professional services is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of BD experience in a top law firm or professional services setting.
• Proven ability to proactively identify and pursue BD opportunities.
• Ability to work with and influence senior partners on client development.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans with Restructuring leadership.
• Advise partners and lead the creation of client-facing materials, pitches, and RFP responses.
• Lead cross-practice BD initiatives and coach partners on client development.
• Oversee and coordinate pitches, RFPs, and post-pitch analyses to improve strategies.
• Manage marketing materials for Restructuring, including bios, brochures, and templates.
• Collaborate with BD and Communications to produce award submissions and content.
• Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to guide decisions.
• Develop cross-department opportunities and support integration of new partners.
