The role focuses on driving client development, growth initiatives, and program execution with a strong emphasis on collaboration across BD, marketing, and firm leadership.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in marketing and BD within professional services, plus 5+ years of management experience.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive marketing and business development experience in professional services.
• 5+ years of management experience leading professionals.
• Proven BD plan development across complex portfolios with measurable results.
• Strong budgeting, ROI analysis, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to motivate attorneys to engage in BD plans across groups.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to produce compelling proposals and client materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for BD across assigned groups and oversee BD support.
• Drive BD and marketing initiatives to align with unit strategies and revenue goals.
• Leverage client, market and firm knowledge to shape growth strategies.
• Translate market insights into prioritized BD initiatives for leadership.
• Develop differentiated client development approaches and scalable playbooks.
• Lead thought leadership and client programming with BD, communications, and events teams.
• Drive pipeline development and opportunity management across units.
• Establish best practices and tools to improve efficiency and scale.
