Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join the Battery System Reliability team. You will collaborate with design, product marketing, manufacturing, supplier quality, and factory quality personnel to bring energized device products to market in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities include leading product development, defining reliability specs, optimizing tests, and performing data‑driven analyses to drive improvements and assist in risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in reliability/quality field.
• Experience with product commercialization across design, manufacturing, quality or reliability.
• Experience in quality engineering fundamentals and leading a project function.
• Proficient with DOE, life data analysis and related statistical tools (Minitab/Reliasoft).
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving and teamwork.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
• ASQ CRE or DFSS/Six Sigma experience preferred; certification a plus.
• 2+ years in power electronics design/reliability is preferred; knowledge of safety standards (IEC, UL) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and life cycle management with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Marketing to define reliability specs and test validation.
• Develop and optimize testing plans to accelerate development.
• Conduct risk assessments during product development.
• Collaborate with global suppliers to ensure component quality.
• Track projects and ensure adherence to schedules and processes.
• Perform data analysis and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Lead FRACA investigations and implement corrective actions.
