Job summary

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC is seeking a Production Assistant Manager for Battery Systems Assembly. This role leads daily battery module production, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity while guiding Supervisors and teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Materials to resolve issues and meet business goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.
• 1+ year of leadership experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Lead, or equivalent.
• Experience managing production operations and departmental objectives in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely manufacture of high-quality battery module products.
• Lead and support Production Supervisors and team members to achieve safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost goals.
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, implementing corrective actions to meet targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and cut costs.
• Lead root cause analysis for production, quality, equipment, and process issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Materials to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Support workforce planning and staffing to meet production requirements.
• Promote standardized work instructions and SOPs across shifts.
• Coach and develop Supervisors and teams to improve performance and engagement.
• Support training and cross-training to improve workforce flexibility.
• Participate in hiring, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
• Coordinate efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials to maximize production efficiency.
• Lead Kaizen events and lean initiatives to drive improvements.
• Ensure accurate production reporting and communication of performance to leadership.
• Serve as a liaison between leadership and production teams.
